At Skill-ette, we believe every child has the potential to shine. That’s why we focus on essential, non-academic skills that drive lifelong success—skills that grades alone can’t measure. Our mission is to nurture confidence, communication, teamwork, empathy, and problem-solving. Through thoughtfully designed programs, we help children develop the mindset, creativity, and resilience they need to thrive in any environment. Our programs combine evidence-based strategies with engaging, interactive experiences through games, challenges, and real-world projects. We empower young learners to build leadership, interpersonal, analytical and personal development skills. Our goal at Skill-ette is not just to develop your child's knowledge, but also their character and confidence to lead with purpose. With our support, your child gains a strong foundation for success in school, relationships, and life—because the future belongs to those who can connect, collaborate, and grow.

At Skill-ette, we have meticulously categorized all crucial soft skills into four foundational pillars: interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, analytical thinking, and personal development. This framework is designed to ensure that your child not only learns but also masters the essential soft skills that are key to thriving in both academic and future professional environments. Our innovative teaching approach emphasizes play-based learning and student-led initiatives, allowing children to engage actively with the material. Each pillar will be explored through a variety of hands-on projects that foster a dynamic atmosphere that promotes deep understanding and retention of these skills. These projects will be conducted in diverse formats, including individual tasks and collaborative group activities, enabling students to learn how to work both independently and as part of a team. Upon successful completion of each project, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion, recognizing their hard work and achievements. This certificate serves not only as a testament to their newly acquired skills but also as a motivational tool to encourage their ongoing personal and professional growth.

Janique

Director and Program Manager
Over the past 10 years, I have focused my expertise on supporting children's developmental, emotional, and social growth. In my career as a Behavioural therapist, I have worked as a behaviour intervention specialist, child development specialist, and evidence-based therapeutic practitioner. I have experience in schools, clinical, and home settings. The majority of my career has been spent creating individualized play-based learning plans, implementing behaviour support strategies, and collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. As an Early child educator, I am dedicated to fostering inclusive, nurturing spaces where children can grow in confidence, develop key skills, and reach their full potential. I strive to empower children to navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful milestones. By creating unique, tailored projects, I aim to create lasting positive outcomes that support their overall well-being and success.
Jamila

Learning strategist and Facilitator
As a psychology graduate, I am passionate about creating engaging, research-informed projects that help children develop essential soft skills. My focus is to design and facilitate activities that build emotional awareness, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork in fun, supportive, and age-appropriate ways. My goal is to empower kids with the social and emotional tools they need to thrive—both in and outside the classroom—while also creating a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels seen, heard, and capable. Using evidence-based strategies and creativity, I aim to inspire children to face challenges, develop meaningful connections, and succeed. Through these programs, I hope to create lasting impacts that help children become confident, compassionate, and adaptable.
